I hit something big in a puddle this morning. I usually try and go round them but the traffic made me run right through a big one. I don't know what I hit but it was big and solid, made a proper thunk and bruised both thumbs.
I got about 100m before the front tyre went flat, and I was close enough to work that I didn't bother changing the tube.
I had to do the SPD shuffle through Canary Wharf looking like some kind of half drowned ninja though.
My favourite thing about commuting is putting wet lycra back on to come home in.
