Because it was the same price as a new standard Inline, and normaly the standard ones are £35 second-hand, so I paid £15 more for the pimpy version. The strength difference is minimal.
Also it was the only 27.2 x 240 on eBay at the time, and I wouldn't want to get a longer one and cut it down.
