Who wouldn't suggest that David's got a touch of the pillock about him, but I thought it was interesting ditty over which to consider the horrifically naff statement, "mind over matter".
Imagine a trip to the pain cave that involved witnessing yourself almost have a heart attack, and approaching the experience with a relatively collected "Oh, okay right. This is my body convulsing due to a lack of oxygen", rather than "SHIT SHIT SHIT, I'M DYING I'M DYING". Such a degree of separation between mind and body, if indeed Mr Blaine is legit, isn't uninteresting, I reckon.
