keirin frame ready, am well excited to build this one up
Its a 'Young Cycle' built Cello-3Rensho, from back in the '90s when they used to build frames with all-3rensho supplied lugs and ends.
really quite nice frame from a very respected Korean builder.
I sent it back to Korea to get it reconditioned and they told me that they dont do Cello decals anymore so they put on Original 3Rensho decals instead.
(afterall they were licensed to use the name on these frames for the Korean market I was told)
I think it calls for yellow fills in the cutouts.will be completed with sugino75 drivetrain and campag-araya wheels.
should be able to ride it around when Spring comes!
awesome!

Nice three rensho
What size?
-
• #39160
its 58 square, but strictly speaking not a 3Rensho ;)
rather 3Rensho parts put together by Mr. Yoo of 'Young Cycle' -

Nice to see a few dirt jumper style bikes in this thread.
He's my budget project which will hopefully be finished soon, excuse the saddle.
The brake pivot is stuck in the boss though, if anybody has any experience with this please let me know.
I have tried removing it with an electric drill (gripping it not drilling it out) but no luck. Not as nice as Chris' but it'll do the job :)

I thought that when i saw the frame on ebay, it looks very similar but the head tube seems to be different also the headset and stem appear to be different. I also couldn't find any markings or sign of stickers anywhere on the frame so who knows :s.

The frame is a '98, which is a few years before Young cycles switched to Kalavinka for getting the parts. so I think sugino75 is probably not way off mark :) Whadja think? I mean besides that I think theyre the best track cranks out there so...
oh and actually you can find large-ish (up to 59 ish, not many frames that are larger than that) in Korea fairly easily... compared to Japan that is...
Compared to the NJS stuff theyre quite a lot cheaper too, Young cycle can still build you a Kalavinka Lugged track frame, that is approved used in Korean keirin professionally, for around 1,200 GBP or there abouts.
Fitted exactly to your measurements too! I say thats not bad at all. dont go on and think these are crap quality frames, Korean keirin is just as competitive as in Japan and the bikes and parts are regulated to similar standards. Mr. Yoo has been building Cromoly frames for around 40 years too and all of their frames are built by himself.I think there is one for sale by Chegas at the mo, seen it in flesh and its a lush frame.
Another builder Jin cycle does Nagasawa lugged frames (for Corex). I saw some Corex Nagasawas on the forum too.
in terms of wheels, im sort of not sure yet. I think It will be either DA 7600+box section arayas, or campag record+araya superaeros. i think DA is the more keirin choice, but campag+superaeros is definitely more bling. whichever I choose to go with, the other set will probably be put on sale....
but now im thinking about the 950 tokyo fixed 3rensho.... :)
cant afford!

It is nice, pretty comfy on longer rides. It seems pretty well mate as well and it looks nice, it did however take a while to wear in so be prepared for a sore arse for a couple of weeks. Its really comfy once it has worn in though :).
