If it helps, I wear Sidi Size 43 Ergo 2's in the summer and thought I'd be better getting a pair of 44's in the Goretex winter shoe, wish I had got the 43 as they are a lot looser than I thought they would, OK if you wear two pairs of socks, but too loose without them.
BTW they are really warm.
