Fixed Gear Disc Brake

Evening all,
I've had this thought it my head for quite some time now, but it never came to fruition.
What do people think of a track bike with a front disc brake? Pros and cons? Parts?
Reason i'm interested in the concept - great all weather braking, no rim wear, components last much longer.
Concerns - facepalanting, fork issues.

That's what I used when I was messengering. It's my Kona Explosif frame. The lack of rim wear and all weather performance is what drove me to it. It's an avid BB7 brake that worked great throughout it's use. I'm thinking of bringing it back...

(the gash looking frame was to make it as undesirable as possible plus the lack of gears went over the heads of theives back then [/reminicentramblings])

Its a 1+1\8" Kona Project 2 fork and was built running discs so no concerns about strength or sizing. Do it!
