Hi everyone.
Firstly, I just wanted to say what a great idea these charity donations are. I am the manager of Wheels for Wellbeing (vested interest declared!) and from our point of view I can honestly say that all donations given to charities (whoever the charity), no matter how big or small they may seem, are received with huge gratitude and thanks. Certainly for smaller charities such as ourself, without charitable donations we would not be able to reach the number of people we do. Each session we run costs about £200, that's without the cost of having to buy specialist cycles which are often in the region of £2K each.
We run 3 sessions a week - 2 at Croydon Arena and 1 at Brockwell Park in Brixton. We currently help about 120 people per week at these sessions to gain confidence and the skills needed to maximise their potential in cycling.
Like all charities, we're facing cuts from our usual funders for the next financial year so donations will become all the more important.
Whoever you choose to support, I'm confident that it will make a real different, particularly in these hard times.
