GasPlus or PlusGas. Leave it to soak, and then put more on. Leave it overnight, check in the morning and put more on. Check in the evening and apply more. Then attempt removal. Aside from that, try some penetrating oil from a car spares place. When re-fitting it, remember to use copper slip to make sure there's a lower chance of things oxidizing together.
Happy days.

Bike shops, hardware shops...?

Car spares places. You may have to visit more than one, because the last time I went a-searching, it was in scant supply.
I eventually got some in a backwoods/out of town branch of Halfords.

Try turning it the wrong way first - ie as if you are doing it up before trying to undo. Diesel fuel is a good idea as a releasing fluid.

Try and tighten the fixed cog first as much as possible.
then try and undo the lockring.

.
I went to take off my lock ring for my fixed gear hub but the fucker's jammed on.
Have sprayed it with some wd40 and given the lock ring tool a bit of a thwup with a rubber mallet but it's going nowhere.
Thinking of taking it to a bike shop so they can put it in a vice but would that make any difference or do you have any other ideas?
Really, really don't want to damage the hub.
Cheers.
