For sale is my Specialized Allez Sport road bike. Decided that I’d go for a more race orientated winter road bike, hence sale.
This is the 2008 model, and was since purchase it has seen around 3000-3500 miles. Never crashed, and has been checked thoroughly at the LBS a few days ago. Frame has a couple of small scratches here and there from general use. Fork has a scuff and left brifter too from falling over from epic pedal unclipping fail. Please see pics!
Also, wheels are slightly untrue, probably around 2mm off alignment.
Had new brake and rear derailleur cables and a brand new brake calliper installed. Brake pads have been upgraded to some nice Fibrax cartridge ones for extra braking power. Some measurements :
Seat tube C-T: 52cm
Horizontal top tube: 56.5cm
Head tube: 18 cm
Specialized list this bike as a size 56 despite having a 52cm seat tube, due to the sloping top tube.
***Specifications : ***
Can’t really be a**ed to type it all out, so have a look at the link.
Bike weighs dead on 9kg, apparently frame weight is 1388g, so if you get a pair of lighter hoops you could quite easily shed a kilo as current wheels are pretty heavy. Would be ideal as a sportive/ winter training bike.
The 2011 Allez Elite (same specs as the 2008 Allez Sport) is retailing at around £900 new, so maybe I’m thinking around £300 would be a sensible price.
I know it's a mainstream bike.. but as it's quite popular you can expect a higher resale value than most other bikes.
Any questions, or request more info/ pics do lemme know!
Don't worry about formatting, just type in the text and we'll take care of making sense of it. We will auto-convert links, and if you put asterisks around words we will make them bold.
Tips:
Create headers by underlining text with ==== or ----
To *italicise* text put one asterisk each side of the word
To **bold** text put two asterisks each side of the word
Embed images by entering: ![](https://www.google.co.uk/images/srpr/logo4w.png) That's the hard one: exclamation, square brackets and then the URL to the image in brackets.
* Create lists by starting lines with asterisks
1. Create numbered lists by starting lines with a number and a dot

For syntax highlighting, surround the code block with three backticks:
```
Just like Github, a blank line must precede a code block.
