You can use normal road levers with the road version of cable operated discs, but MTB versions are designed to work with V-brake levers and the leverage ratio will be all to fuck if you mix and match.
I wanted to use a BB7 front disc with road levers, so ordered the road specific disc brake.
Wiggle/CRC/whoever it was sent me the wrong one- they sent the MTB version.
The standard palaver of emailing, then phoning, then explaining that I "did not want it anyway", and finally sending back happened.
They sent out the correct version snappily, and I went to fit it.
Now I had had a good long look at the MTB version, including scribbling down part numbers (OCD/cynical, what can I say) and the road and the MTB version are the same- the only difference is that with the road version you get a little inline barrel adjuster to trim the bite point.
