Pretty Aende - love the paint. Half tempted for my other half... Hilary - do you mind if I ask how you dated it?
Mine (in Columbus rather than Reynolds) has very similar decals and headtube decals but no frame numbers or other markings to indicate a date; or did you do it from the tubing.

Aende dating
This one is not numbered either - but the style and the fact its 531 Pro rather than 653 indicates its likely to be pre 1988. Lo-pros did not come on stream in a big way until about 85 so on that I would guess with the style of the paint for it to be about 1986-7.

Hey Hilary,
Can't get it this time around, but those Hill Specials were built in my home town (Padiham, Lancashire) and my father used to lust over them when he was a child. I'd love to get hold of a nice track one :)

Hi everyone,
I’ve just sorted out another lot of interesting frames. Shipping on frames within the UK will be £11 - other items can ship free of charge in the same box. I can ship anywhere in the world at a reasonable cost.
ALL ITEMS ARE IN BRISTOL
Unless specifically described I do not guarantee headsets or BBs which are fitted to frames. With all frames I can fit headsets or BBs - headset fitting costs £12; please see my latest headset thread:
http://www.lfgss.com/thread53572.html
for details of what is available.
Payment can be via bank transfer (preferred), cheque or the dreaded Paypal which costs me 3%…
** If you dib an item, please PM me and pay the same day unless you make other arrangements with me. Otherwise it may well be sold to the next person who wants it...**
** I will be at the cyclejumble at Herne Hill next Saturday, the 1st January and can bring items for collection there **
Viewing/Personal collection is welcome as quite a few have found and have been able to get other parts they are looking for at the same time.

AENDE LOPRO FRAME Reynolds 531 Pro
Seat Tube (ctt): 19.5in (50cm)
Top Tube (ctc): 21in (53cm)
Rear dropout width: 126mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 Pro
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
This Aende lo-pro frame dates from c1986 is in very good/excellent condition and is built from Reynolds 531 Pro tubing - this. is the lighter version of 531 tubing that was developed into 653 later. The paint is in very good condition albeit with quite a number of small marks. I will include the 650 sprint wheel (Mavic 501 hub) with the frame. The frame is beautifully fillet brazed with lots of lovely details - the internal rear brake cable and the drilled dropouts are very well executed. £185
HILL SPECIAL TRACK FRAME c1950
Seat Tube (ctt): 58cm (23in)
Top Tube (ctc): 57cm (22.5in)
Rear dropout width: 110mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C with brake drop of 46mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted tubing
This Hill Special Track frame has been converted to road use about thirty years ago with a gear hanger (easily removed) brake cable stops, and a new rear brake bridge. It is in excellent condition and has quite close clearances for a track frame of this age. £160
PAT HANLON ROAD FRAME Reynolds 531 c1977 Really stunning
Seat Tube (ctt): 53cm (21in)
Top Tube (ctc): 52cm (20.5in)
Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 700C/sprints with brake drop of 57mm
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531SL
This is an extremely beautiful Pat Hanlon road frame built from Reynolds 531 SL tubing with the most gorgeous extremely long spearpoint lugs with elongated windows. Pat Hanlon’s frames were built by a number of builders - I am really not sure who built this one - I am reasonably certain its not Vic Edwards - it could be Tom Board... More on Pat Hanlon can be found at http://www.classiclightweights.co.uk/PatHanlon.html
The paint is in near excellent condition with a few small marks a few small well touched up marks - the deep red flam still looks truly splendid. The chrome plating is excellent. The dropouts are Campag vertical reinforced on their insides - this makes it not very suitable for a fixed or singlespeed conversion. £195
HARRY QUINN ROAD FRAME c1970
Seat Tube (ctt): 54cm (21.25in)
Top Tube (ctc): 54cm (21.25in)
Rear dropout width: 124mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C with brake drop of 52mm
Frame tubing: Probably Columbus SL - the fork steerer is definitely Columbus
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Harry Quinn was one of the most respected Liverpool frame builders - many other local builders learnt their framebuilding from him. The firm was a very old established one dating back to just after the turn of the 20th century. More can be found on Harry Quinn at http://www.classicrendezvous.com/British_isles/Quinn_Harry_main.htm This road frame dates I think from around 1970 and is in very good original condition - the paint is very nice with just a few small marks. The vertical dropouts will make it unsuitable for conversion to singlespeed or fixed. £165
CLAUD BUTLER GRAN SPORT ROAD FRAME c1975
Seat Tube (ctt): 55cm (21.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 56.5cm (22.25in)
Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 27s or Sprints/700C with brake drop of 64mm
Seatpost size: 26.4mm
This Claud Butler road frame from I think about 1975 and is in very sound condition. Its built with Reynolds 531 tubing. The paint is generally very good with just some decal loss. It could easily be used as a singlespeed or fixed conversion. £69
HARRY QUINN ROAD FRAME
Seat Tube (ctc): 51.5cm (20.25in)
Top Tube (ctc): 52cm (20.5in)
Rear dropout width: 122mm
Wheel size: 27s or Sprints/700C with brake drop of 64mm
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted

The firm was a very old established one dating back to just after the turn of the 20th century. More can be found on Harry Quinn at http://www.classicrendezvous.com/British_isles/Quinn_Harry_main.htm This road frame dates I think from around 1970 and is in very good original condition - the paint is very nice with just a few small marks. The long horizontal dropouts will make it ideal for conversion to singlespeed or fixed. £149
PEUGEOT CHORUS 753 FRAME c1990
Seat Tube (ctc): 50cm (19.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 52.5cm (20.75in)
Rear dropout width: 128mm
Seatpost size: 26.8mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 753
This is one the last Reynolds 753 frames built by Peugeot and originally came equipped with a full Campagnolo Chorus groupset. Its in really nice condition with just a few small chips to the paint. I do have quite a few Campagnolo Chorus parts which could be made available to the purchaser if wanted. The dropouts are however vertical so unsuitable for a fixed or singlespeed conversion. A bargain 753 frame at £175.
PEARSON ROAD FRAME c1973
Seat Tube (ctt): 57cm (22.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 56cm (22in)
Rear dropout width: 122mm
Wheel size: 700C (brake drop 50mm)
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
This Pearson road frame dates I think from 1973 - its in very good condition. Pearson frames were built by a number of builders over the years - this one could possibly have been built by Holdsworths judging by the seatstay wrapover. With its long dropouts is great for a fixed or singlespeed conversion.
