I do point out when batteries are low, its amazing how many people get very defensive about it. A few are grateful.
Even worse are the people who say they cant afford lights, when wobbling all over the place on a new bike with expensive clothes on. At least when they end up in hospital they will be wearing box fresh trainers.
This evening I saw a bike ninja, lurking in the gutter, so making it even harder for cars to see them. Primary position is so important on a wet dark evening like today, especially if you have no way to make yourself more visible.
