A good news story involving the Met's finest

This was posted today on the Tower Hamlets Wheelers Forum, it gave me a warm glow when I read it...

So you know how it goes when you're out cycling? Car driver behaves appallingly, no witnesses, no police and you end up fuming but without any positive action?

Well TODAY I experienced harrassment and intimidation from a driver and when I caught him at the lights and explained the error of his ways a motorcycling police officer intervened and apprehended the driver, enquired about his ID, tax, and what with this particular driver being a licensed mini-cab, a number of other questions came to the police officer's mind. Seemingly said cabbie was unable to provide answers to the officer's satisfaction and I was waved off cheerily by the police officer who assured me an arrest was imminent. Even if he didn't nick the cabbie, the fare sat in the cab was none too pleased with the 20 minute delay!

Praise be, the Met are the finest police force in the land and I won't hear a word against them!
