(FYI, Alfine 11 fucking rock, a million time better than the 8).
Nice. But surely it's just 3x better;)

That would be the 24.

The seatpost is a bit silly too really. But it looks nice.
Yeah - looks ace. I know nothing about welding / brazing - how are those tiny little chainstays joined on at the seat tube, and won't they be liable to break on a mountain bike if you start doing badly landed drop offs (the sort I might do for example... I blew up a pair of Pace forks and snapped the chainstay on a Proflex once :) )

Yeap. I thought that almost as soon as I posted it.

the tube would bend or break before those fillet welds, going against the grain but those English bikes are just to quirky for me and dont look particulary well finished

Not quite, the Alfine 8 have an odd range of ratio, whether the 11 have a much even range beside the first gear (large jump between 1st and 2nd).
it have a slightly larger gap between each ratio in comparison to a derailleur, but nothing that you can't get used to.

Thoughts?
Looks crude yet simultaneously weedy next to proper track bikes. Parlee should maybe stick to making sportive bikes for dentists.

If it had a rear tire....anyway check that downtube out, tight.

Right, I'm closing the thread. That's as good as it's going to get.

Apart from the bars. Normals mounted in the normal way would have got the same position, but with a superlative aesthetic. As is, looks as if someone's had at it with the hacksaw in the garage.
Needs a silver post too.

Normals mounted in the normal way with a stem up top would be weaker.
I prefer this style of bar -
But it does put the front down even lower. More aesthetically pleasing to me but probably not practical

I don't think it's even the nicest Тахион on the thread
Does it actually have Campag wheels now, or have they be chopped over the Mavic Cometes which were on it when last posted?

Am I having a flu induced hallucinations or is something wrong with those campag discs?
