Hi Emtra,
I hope you are delighted with your pelizzoli pista frame.
About seven years ago I visited the Ciocc establishment in canonica d'adda about 10miles outside Bergamo. At that time I was interested in having a lugged steel road frame with "Conti"decals. In 2004 lugged steel was yesterdays news as aluminium then carbon were becoming predominant. However Mr Fulvio Biondi a partner in the Ciocc company said it was no problem for them to build me a traditional frame.Mr Biondi was very helpful guy who spoke excellent English and he showed me round the Ciocc work shop which was small. The sign on the gates said nuovo cicli Conti-Ciocc.I do not know when Mr Pelizzoli sold the name"Ciocc"but Conti and Ciocc have been ridden from at least the early 1980's to early 90's by pro teams. The great Belgian rider Freddy Maertens spent his last two seasons on Conti bicycles on a Belgian team.
ON the film anima d"accacio featuring Pelizzoli building a frame near the beginning is a old picture of Claudio Corti who won the amateur Worlds road race at San Cristobal on a Ciocc.
Anyway sorry for rambling on, I think I will get a jet 2 flight from leeds to Bergamo and pay a visit to Giovanni and ask him to build me a road frame San Cristobal style!
