I don't have any good tips...but someone should start an editable google map or something so that all these places are organised on a map. I think such a thing would be quite useful when planning routes in specific areas. Although I guess that is the ultimate aim. This just seems like a logical initial step which might be more useful than a long 'listy-type' thread... it's easy to do and not labour intensive.
