Cycling on NYE.. good idea?

zooming past shivering tired people waiting for buses was amusing...
This! 2am Deptford -> Brixton -> Battersea. Performed an unintentional endo on coldharbour lane when some jerk sped ahead then immediately turned left into a side road but hit the brakes half way through the turn stopping dead right in front of me. Thankfully dropped the rear wheel before going over the bars and only had to put the chain back on. I'd still take cycling (or a couch) over public transport any NYE..
