my favourite is the Pear Tree at Hook Norton, drinking pint(s) of Hookie brewed on the premises with a plate of scampi and chips especially on a 84 mile hilly loop around the cotswolds, or the Castle Inn at Edge Hill (alas outside our region, one for the midlands perhaps) and no doubt between london and brighton there are plenty.. i think the plan is to share our knowledge so that everyone can plan rides around those stops, whether its for 10 mins or a full lunch break.. it's as basic as that.
this leads nicely to those who prefer mid morning bacon sarnie stops, pub lunches or the afternoon cake and tea. A great ride requires good planning.
