you mean this one for £350 here?
OOF, nice one Kboy, I got trolled after I made this thread and it seems to crop up in searches so people are going to come selling.+1 on the Peanut Vendor btw, lovely people, nice stuff, waaaaaay overpriced but I'm sure there's a healthy market in Stoke Newington.
If anyone's in Manchester btw Levenshulme antiques is a good place to visit http://theantiquesvillage.com/

PS: I dropped my dream of selling 20th century antiques and have designed my own range instead. First piece in the workshop right now and should be finished next week (that wasn't a plug honest!)

Always wanted to do this ^^^.
It's a shame I'm devoid of any drive and ambition.Doing an upholstery evening class atm, doing a couple of parker knolls. Takes so much longer than I thought.
Ditto about posting pics, i'd be interested to see.

I've cheated, I'm not making it myself. I trained as a furniture designer but one thing led to another and I ended up doing other stuff and its now so long since I made anything I don't trust myself to do myself justice (if that makes any sense). And so, after years of wanting to get some stuff built I finally found a great cabinet maker who is willing to do stuff at cost on the basis that he might get batch orders if I can get up and running and because he liked what I had designed.
My hope is once I have one piece to show and create a website for etc I'll be able to get going, we'll see, what ever happens at least I have something that I designed myself (and my girlfriend gets a unique christmas present!). Will post some pics when its done if I'm happy with it.

Afore I resort to trying to flog this to a 'dealer' I thought I would give it a shot here.
Purchased as a project, and as its white and made of metal, I really dont have the room for this any more. Unknown maker, Im guessing 50s, steel frame, wooden backed, hair stuffed upholstery (needs recovering), really nice shape, and as its steel could be used as an outdorrs chair with a coat of Hammerite/clear varnish and by replacingthe upholstered pads with plain wooden ones (the seat part pops out easily)
Anyway, PM me if interested, its in Bow, looking to get my £100 back for it ideally. Good Christmas present for that special someone perhaps?

Actually guy this chair is very comfy during those who need to sit continuous hours, flexible sitting so i think you should purchase AMALFI, QUINTO, RIALTO designed chairs these brand procure many style and can be see in STAPLES and many big malls .Actually guy these cahirs are reproduction of CHARLES EAMES so i think we should not worry about quality and reliable.

Can anyone recommend any places that might sell secondhand mid-century/Danish/Swedish furniture North and East London? I don't know much about this stuff but I know I like simple! Most of what I've seen is online so I'd like to go out to see and touch this stuff in the flesh. Peanut Vendor was mentioned above - will be checking that out. I've seen a couple of places around Victoria Park and London Fields but thought I'd try here first for suggestions. I don't mind if they've been hit by hipster tax or not - I'm just looking at the mo. :) Thanks.

The Peanut Vendor is a great shop. They have a website http://thepeanutvendor.co.uk/
http://yesterdayfurniture.co.uk are based in Hackney I think. There's a couple of shops on Church St, Stokey - can't remember the name of one but it's near Il Bacio Express. There's also The Cobbled Yard behind the Daniel Defoe. There's 'Past Caring' on Essex Road which is a bit brik-a-brakie but is ok downstairs. There's a very good small shop on Essex Rd, where it meets North Rd (I think), next to the Taxidermy shop. It's expensive but it's genuine Mid-Century awesomeness.
A friend of mine had a book called 'Bargain Hunters London', here:
It has a great section on Furniture shops, lock-ups, auction houses etc. and also the best markets. It will list any that specialise in Mid-Century.
Also, if you like G-Plan - I may be selling my desk/dresser shortly to make space. It's like this: http://www.rubysretroroom.com/USERIMAGES/RUBEDO%20015.JPG. It makes a great desk.
