Zed from what I see so far, Google aren't actually making an Ultimate phone when they release each new Nexus. Rather it appears to be a vehicle for showcasing what is possible, with the latest new Android flavour. And since that is the case, the phones would be reliable, and cutting edgeup to a point. Phones released later from other manufacturers, normally will be of higher spec and performance.
Sony Ericsson, Motorola and LG, all have phones that will soon be announced, that will make the Nexus 2 look distinctly jaded. If not nearly obselete.
