I think this is my favourite bike ever. totally porn worthy!

  • My old 1950 Claud Butler International Club. Gorgeous frame but sadly too small for me - finally sold it about a month ago.

My old Townsend MTB. Deraillers donated to a friend, seat and post on my other bike, bottom bracket has finally crumbled into dust so I've decided to get rid of it. Tried to give it away for free on various forums and nobody wanted it. Tried to give it to local bike recycling charity and they didn't want it. So I rode it into town and left it there. It's been in York centre unlocked for two months now and still nobody has taken it

  • SO sexy

  • Got a nice link for you!

www.chicagofreakbike.org featured the French clown troupe Zig anime with some crazy, beautiful and just plain wacky bicycles!

  • Andy Matthews' Pompino from Flickr. WANT.

  • and who is Andy Matthews?

  • The dude who owns that bike I guess. I don't know him, just thought I'd credit him incase he was a member here or whatever.

That was mine, I saved it so it would live again.

Who makes that bottle cage holder on the C. Butler? I need one of those but most of them are either expensive or flimsy, this one seems to be neither.

I need to get some pics of my Gazelle up in this thread.

  • Can't remember who made it, but it was flimsy and broke on the first ride.

Afterwards I made a little bracket out of sheet steel that sits over the seatpost clamp bolt holes, then bolted the bottle cage to it, then put the seatpost bolt in to attach it. Works much better and only took ten minutes to make.

  • This is really good to ride. I bought it off edscoble and rode it everyday for 3 weeks in germany, it is now my away with work ride! chuck it on the back of a lorry and hay presto freedom wherever I go!*

  • I'm liking that a lots.

  • Thanks Ed
You'll notice the way it blends in with the distressed fence!

  • Behold! Frankumbent!

Saw this cruise up and park outside the office today.

  • That looks insanely dangerous.

  • Thanks for the credit (Andy Matthews). It belonged to a messenger or two, then me, then RPM for a while now mine again. I love it and ride it every day.

Big respect to RPM for making it ride again.

  • What panniers are these? Does anyone know what they are or anything similar?

  • similar in what way?

  • That's a good looking bike. Needs a nicer stem (like an old lugged one), a ratty saddle and a front brake too. I hope the jubilee clips on the seattube aren't structural...
