surely the original freewheel only turns one way because of the ratchets, where now you have 3 fixed cogs so if you stop pedaling/resist they will unwind???
or am i as stoopid as usual?
I thought the cogs screwed onto the freewheel bit, which is attached to the hub, so the cogs don't directly attach to the hub like on a fixed, so they won't need a lockring.
are these 3 speed set ups traditionally 1/8? Must be a pretty burly derailleur. was 3/32 not around back when these were common?
