Something else to remember, you pick up these germs everywhere, don't eat or even rub your eyes or pick your nose unless your hands are clean.
You go around all day touching doors and railings that other filthy, diseased humans (and worse, children) have had their germy mitts all over, even the soap dispenser in the public toilets.
I have avoided several colds I'm sure by using an anti-bacterial gel on my hands before eating when out at work or whilst traveling.
