Nothing exemplifies the decline of this nation like the decline of proper pubs and the endless encroachment of wankhouses such as Tesco, Asda and the like.

hehe. i worked in a pub in my village of 1500 for 4 years, and recently the land was bought out or something and the developers wanted to knock down the pub and build houses. cue a cry from the villagers of "not our beloved local english pub". give me a fucking break! i thought. in those 4 years, the only worthwhile patrons were the local drunks. it shut down for a few months and opened this week, went down last night, and guess what, still only the same drunks there. people crying about losing places they never visit. probably more worried about the effect it will have on house prices.
