• #3579
It is in my eyes.....
And thats all that counts! And therefore inspite of statistics, it is official. (who believes stats anyway)
-
• #3580
99.9% of people believe stats
-
• #3581
And i will personally (if i have to) get our Google rating up so that we are officially the friendliest. Everyone knows that Google knows everything.

Hi all, just moved into East London from the states. Living in shoreditch now and brought over a geared beast but plan to build a single speed this month. I'll be looking around for some Shoreditch/Hackney/East London riders or meets

Hello all!
Have just bought My First Single Speed - somewhat predictably a Charge Plug. Am loving the change from over 20 years of riding with a selection of gears (although I doubt that my first bike, a Raleigh Apple had gears!)
When I bought my last bike 18 months ago I was all "I need gears! I don't get why people would use them blah blah" and after a couple of weeks with just the one, I wondering how long it'll be till I fiddle with the flip flop hub and go fixie...probably a while given my fitness levels...!

Another newcomer to the site here and unlikely to own an ss until next years c2w voucher rolls around in Oct but I signed up as I'm liking the banter on the site and can always do with another place to procrastinate my working day away on.

Hey pootsmanuva! Welcome to the forum. Riding SSFG bikes are very addictive! And you dont need to be fit to ride a fixed, its just something slightly different that may take a few days/weeks to get used too. My suggestion is do it safe. And dont diss the Charge, its a very good Off The Peg (OTP) bike!! Very good build. Come join us at some drinks and rides!

Greetings,
I have to admit that I have decided to sign up on LFGSS mainly because you guys have the coolest items for sale in your classifieds! I am a member of many other bike forum sites so some of you may have seen some of my bikes before.
I look forward to chit chatting with you guys!

Not dissing as such just seems a v obvious choice. I guess they're popular though for a reason! And will certainly be looking up the North and East drinks!
And having just had the all clear from a head injury clinic following an argument with a car door on my hybrid am much more safety minded than ever.

cheers.
since yesterday my position on when I will own a ss seems to have gone from next year's c2w to 'hmm that pompino frameset bundle looks tempting for a self build' so I may not hold out as long as I first though.
I almost bought a b'twin vitamin as a pub hack on impulse last night as well. haha

Hullo. So I've been lurking for a long time but moved to Earls Court four months ago and I've been riding around the city on an early 80s holdsworth frame with a mix of bits I brought with me.
Now I'm completely addicted, as was said above, to riding with fixed gear. Would like to get involved with the West Beers night if anyone is reading this. Anyway, nice forum
