The smaller the wheels, the less practical. The Strida is best for getting someone from their train station to their office. Both bikes you've shown have an allergy to even the merest sniff of an incline. They're only good in that they're so light, and hence impractical for more than a couple of miles on London's roads. Treat like The Plague.
Go Brompton for mainstream practicality, or Moulton for speed and comfort (but it doesn't fold). Bargains to be had secondhand for both.
