there is a fundamental fact here that not all bums are made for all saddles, and sooner or later you have to accept that.
Sit bones different widths, spine different flex, newbie/advanced rider still differently at times. I'm assuming a male rider as females have some different criteria to males, etc etc
If the Co "Specialised" have gone to great lengths in research and design of saddles it goes to prove the point.
I know the saddle on offer is a beautiful one, and with the right person, will give years of pleasure, but to the wrong one it can put them off riding for ever.
That said, there is a "breaking in" exercise period which is meant to be endured- to reach Nirvana, but I'm never sure if its breaking in your backside or the saddle though....a modern saddle will likely fit straight off
