Bike stolen from New Cross Gate Station?

Hi Polo players,

I really hope I'm not the bearer of bad news. I quite often see a polo bike locked up outside New Cross Gate Station, sometimes with a mallet strapped to it. I was at the station at 17:15 today and noticed that where the polo bike usually is was just the rear wheel (white deep v rim & a selection of spoke cards) and no rest of the bike. I was in a bit of a rush so didn't inspect that closely. However, the wheel looked to still be attached to the railings with a kryptonite chain and padlock.

If it is your bike, I hope the rest of it is safe with you and not somewhere else. If it has been nicked, then I'm sorry.

Ooh, bad luck.

Around the seat tube and through the rear wheel, they must have cut through the seat tube and one of the rear stay. My bad thou for leaving it overnight...

that sounds like an awful lot of work for a front wheel, some handle bars and some cranks

Suprised myself. I suspect it is a novice hacksaw job instead of an angle grinder thingy. Not that hard to get through a frame with a hacksaw, no sparks, not much noise and could always walk away and come back if there are passers by.

quite bashed black Coventry eagle with white text, lots of tape. bit dirty deep v-rims.... if I dont rmember it wrong.. kinda hard to identify thou if they cut the frame
