Not been to Eastern Europe, but I believe you want the World Snowboard Guide and the internips.
Flatmate who went to slovakia said it was nice enough but only a few runs and not that technically difficult so a bit boring for him.
I get the impression Bulgaria's the same but I'm not sure.
Went to... Bormio? In italy with school and remember quite liking it but it was nothing compared to my latest 'proper' trip to Tignes, which probably doesn't count as cheap
