With a hive of that size the ammount of bees coming and going would be pretty noticable (he had noticed), this would have suggested more than a few bees.

He didn't give a shit and just wanted to kill things. I hope he gets stung on the ball bag. Not by a bee though as it would die.

He wanted to get rid of the bees around so he could use his BBQ. There is a difference between that and finding a hive and setting it on fire.

I'm not condoning his actions but from the information available he's not the psychopath you're all making him out to be.

Also, is it alright to kill just a couple of bees on your BBQ? Why don't we all go the whole hog and become buddhists?
