For Sale: OT: Canon 5D DSLR, 50mm f/1.4 lens, 24-105mm f/4.0 L lens, 580EX II flash, kit bags

So... I'm selling all my Canon DSLR kit.

All glass is immaculate and has been protected by UV filters since purchase, everything works perfectly and everything is in excellent condition.

Up for sale are:

[strike]- Canon 5D Mk I DSLR, with box, all original accessories and paperwork, manual, receipt, never had professional use and in great nick. Includes Canon EP-EX15 eyepiece extender, an 8Gb Sandisk Extreme IV 40Mb/s compact flash card and a neoprene Sandisk compact flash case which takes two cards. A few very slight marks on the top - they don't look anywhere near as obvious as in the photos below and don't detract at all in real life. I'd still describe the overall condition as excellent. Sensor clean and free of dust and has only ever been professionally cleaned. £575.[/strike] SOLD to techwell

• Canon 24-105mm f/4.0 L lens - this was bundled with the 5D, so if you buy it on its own you won't get a box. Great walkabout lens, this is a pro 'L' lens with the red band, very well built and sharp across the zoom range. Also perfect but has had slightly more use than the prime. Includes Hoya UV filter. I've also got a Hoya Pro 1 circular polarising filter for this, cost £60 though so would want a bit extra to include it in the sale if you wanted a PL filter. £500.

• CCS (Camera Care Systems) Brownstone camera bag. This bag is a beauty - a proper luxury bag with soft lining which can be removed with pop studs. I'm loathed to sell it, but if I'm not going to have a DSLR I don't need it. It's made from marine grade canvas (so it's basically waterproof) and has brass fittings - it's fantastic quality. CCS made bags in their factory in the Midlands until about 2006 - I think the name has now been licensed but you can't buy the British made ones now and this one is the nicest I've seen. Perfect for a body with lens, an extra lens and a flash or an extra lens, as well as your bits and pieces. The dividers can be moved around as they have velcro fastenings. £50
  
  

[strike]- Lowe Pro Nova 3 AW DSLR shoulder bag. Fairly standard camera bag with adjustable velcro dividers and plenty of pockets. Includes a pull out 'all weather cover' to stop your kit getting wet (see last pic). £10[/strike] SOLD to Pistoffski

Thanks - it is, best value DSLR I can think of at the moment too. I'm not getting a DSLR to replace it though, I'm getting one of these:

I've just found the 5D too bulky, as great as it is, for the kind of photos I like to take I like to have a fairly compact camera with me. So this stuff has been sitting at home not going anywhere!

I hear you! It can be a pain carrying it sometimes, I use it then realise that I can't go back to non full frame cameras again.

When it comes to compacts - 35mm all that way!

is that eyepiece extender good for shooting with glasses? I find it quite hard to frame things properly as I can't get my eye close enough to see the whole frame

It's more so your nose isn't squashed against the screen, which is good if you're wearing glasses or not, but would probably help at least a bit. They fit most Canon DSLRs so I'd recommend getting one if you've got a camera that takes them.

This viewfinder has dioptre adjustment, which is all you need if you're visually challenged (AFAIK).

On the shutter count theoretically this piece of software will tell me. I won't have time to check until Thursday but I'll try and do it then and update the thread/PM you techwell.

once Fox's 5d has gone i have one for sale too (with grip and batteries) no details until his is sold though.

as for the shutter count even if it's a bit high the shutter is actually not that expensive to replace. a friend had hers done after hammering it for a year, 3-4 fashion shoots a week think it had done 250k! by the time it went that's a lot of sunsets and close up's of fixies.

Gladly sunsets and fixie closeups is not what I'm after with that one.

Everything has now gone except the L 24-105mm lens and the CCS camera bag. Friday morning price drop on this to £50. I don't want to drop the price of the L lens any further so next step will be to put it on eBay, so if you're interested shout now.
