Easy superjoe, yeah in my opinion converting an mtb can be a good route to a cheap Trick bike, especially if you got an old frame kicking around....
Strong, low top tube for better tricks, high bb, out of fashion so often selling cheap! Perfect!
Re-space and change dropouts. You will be limited to maximum chain ring size of about 38t for the right chain line, but with cog sizes down to 12t available - No problem even for speed.

Track ends about £80 up, but spend more and use a rated builder if converting a nice frame.....
Was gonna drill the dropout and fit a rack for a transporter / baby carrier sort of thing, which is why the rack bosses are still there, but a better frame came along for that job...
Transporter frame anyone?
