@ Rive Gauche. Happy to find out a bit more about it from my old man if you'd like? I'm in on his cask so wouldn't take part, but very happy to offer any info we have thus far. Ours is about 4 or 5 years old so far. We're in it for 10 years, then we may quarter cask part of it for a bit longer.
Some stuff to remember is that it doesn't work out as quite the amazing bargain it looks (11 squid a bottle) as I think there's no bottles included or indeed bottling (I'll check). Also there may be some duty to pay on receipt of the hooch. Plus there's some evaporation from the barrel during aging (known as 'angel share').
I'll ask the old man how it pans out. I definitely recall us getting in there when Bruichladdich had just reopened and we bagged a massive bargain. A lot less than the money they're asking now!
