You can't make excessive noise until well after 9pm, as long as we remain considerate towards locals and other court users we should be ok to make further use of Newington (in my opinion).
I also have a housemate who wants to come to the next session... she works late quite often though, but it'd be cool to know when the next one is planned, etc.
I like the idea of ladies polo being on Monday, it avoids separation with everyone else, up to you lot though...

well done Ladies!!!

Absolutely loved it last night. Promising start.
As some of the girls came from North-east, would be fair to get 'Ladies Polo eve' rotating, now and then,at others courts up the river? (schedule permitting)
That might also helps to not saturate Newington, as it seems the most requested.

what joni said, but i didnt think about the natural 9pm curfew, so yeah i can't really see a problem. :)

Just been listening to an episode of the bike show: who in feb 2008 at trixy chics tried freewheel and thought it would be good to play polo on!?! Talk about ahead of the curve!
Yeah, I thought freewheeling + MTB would be a better option for polo than brakeless fixed that everyone else was using at the time...
Hated it and went back to the original bike (which I am still using!)

Um, no offense dudes, because this is a discussion that is definitely worth having considering the lack of clarity on the issue, but is there a way a mod could move this to it's own thread? It's a topic that seems to come up from time to time so it might be worth it.
Regarding ladies polo, I'm happy to rotate north/south, though it might not work well at Mitch. Especially with polo happening there most nights of the week, there only being one court, and the frequent run-ins and resulting wheeling-and-dealing that has to be done with the local kids (who will turn on you if not careful). I would therefore have to suggest Broadway even though it's a bit further to get to for some (alternatively, lights are on all night so no worries about not having enough court time).

edit: just did some searching, it's the Ladies Army III tournament.. seems the first was in NY?

Yeah, ever so briefly contemplated going last year when it was in Vancouver. Would have been better if it was around the worlds this year because it ends up working out to too much time and money this way. You thinking of going? I hear austen is awesome.

mebbe mebbe.. i'm coming back to London in March, so it would be easier obvs.. but i'm supposed to be doing a research trip in may so i probs shouldn't.. damn phd ruining my life! ldn to austen to calcutta, i wonder how far the faculty will believe that it's in the name of 'research'
i wanted to go to watch the world's in oct so two america trips might not be feasible anyway...

it was in NY last year, and was started in Vancouver the year before.
I would love to go to Austin! Looks awesome.
I think B meant about polo not being at Newt all the time as agreed with the residence some time ago, after a discussion with them to keep the peace.
I don't think this is a permanent fixture but will hopefully happen on a fairly regular basis. At the moment it's no fixed time or place, just when and where we can get enough people, right?
Are Monday's going to be a permanent fixture then?
And the league isn't all year round, so hopefully we're not pushing our luck too much.
Perhaps we should bear in mind the noise level, but at least we're gone by 9pm.
There were a few excitable squeals last night.
Good times.
