happened to me in front of peckham rye weekend about two months ago...
it's so embarrassing as it's COMPLETELY UNEXPECTED!
all of a sudden it was like the bike just came out from under me....

I bent one of the hoods round on my new Pinarello doing that a few weeks ago. Those bricks/cobbles are lethal!
Wont be doing that again.

Cobbles are a bastard - no matter how many times you fall on them, they always know how to get you one more time. My town is full of cobbles, my usual cause of a fall is that there are bricks missing in places leaving a nice sized hole to avoid. When it is wet........
Corner of Blackstock road and Mountgrove road. Slippery bricks on a crossing/corner were to blame. I'm always wary of that corner but just wasn't thinking about it today...
No real injuries apart from a bruised ego. First accident in five years!
