I believe thats his fave riding position, on top of the hoods, be there 1 brake, 2 brake or no brake...
-
• #37828
The hoods act as guards to protect your fingers, as you go screaming brakeless, on black ice, into a wall.

still don't get the brooklyn - looks weird and uncomfortable... but you are gonna add brakes right? i think brakeless on the road is downright irresponsible/suicidal!
-
• #37830
Moraly brakeless is the right choice.
It's statistically proven that people who ride brakelss will die. The more people who die the lower the population becomes. Therefore, more resources for the rest of us.

Just dialled in the position using the Bike Whisperer sheet, and the stem is flip the right (according to you lots!) way round
I like it a lot. Maybe get some canti mounts brazed on.
Reminds me of this:

Have not seen that before, look awesome!

^^That is what i've always wanted...altho maybe v-brakes and risers. Awesome!
right-click, ctrl v....bike porn
Anyway, I've got a serious question.
Ed (or anyone else), when you go to bike whisperer what happens?
You get measured on one of those adjustable frames?
Do they also set up a bike you bring, or do you just get a chart/diagram with your details and then set up your bike.
And also, how widely can you then apply your sizing - ie road, touring, track, mtb, city, etc.
Cheers.

hugo, check the bike whisperer topic, I've posted my two experience there (the latest one is in the last page).
All he does is get you fitted perfectly on your current bike, he take down how many hours you spend on the bike a weeks, what kind of riding, etc. and then fit you accordingly.
He doesn't measure you on an adjustable frame, just on your current bike, and if he can't fit you on your current bike (like your Planet-X being too big), he'll recommend a frame that'll fit you.

Today's 'projects' (aka pissing around with bicycles) developments: get excited that Argos are about to send me my repaired/repainted Geoffrey Butler, and carry shitloads of supermarket shopping home on my Dawes' new La Poste mahooosive french postie bag and mega front rack combo... Steering was a bit hairy through NX! But I liked doing a big shop without the car.

^^nice.
Are you getting one of RIks custom levers?
What disc are you going with, and how do you recon it will hold up, and why not just a V - just frame or trying something new?

You and me both, it's really feel great being able to do that.
edit - my mum just texted me to go buy a christmas tree and carry it home on my trailer because she spend age cleaning the inside of her car.

well crappy photo,,,
Brooks Swallow, is slowly getting comfy.
New handlebar setup (Sizemore stem, airwings, cinelli gel cork tape), like the feel of it a bit more than drops. Not sure how long it will stay like this, I liked my Van Nicholas stem, so maybe go for some oversized airwings...After xmas, new 47t chain ring, new seatpost and probably new pedals...

I normally get the tree from the Ridgeway, so if you're serious, I can try and carry two and drop one off on the way past Raynes Park.
