Chromoplastics without question. The Roadracers are a nightmare to fit and they just sort of go wherever they please - I had no end of rubbing with mine. The Chromoplastics took a little bit of bending but eventually I got them where I wanted them and they stayed there, mostly. The only real problem I had with them is how closely they fit - when snow gets packed in there, it can get hard to pedal due to the resistance.

I have chromoplastics on the beater. (Except for winter when I need the clearance and run traditional crud catchers).
Three things stand out for me:
Once fitted well I dont get too much toe overlap, as you can adjust the back of the front close to the tyre. (true of a lot of mudguards).
On less than perfect roads, with either hard road tyres or knobbly CX tyres, they do not move about or make noise.
When I take them off road, and crash alot (I should take them off, but dont always). I always seem to be able to bend them back into place.
I am thinking to add some mudguards to my tight clearance Langster with 700*25 Marathon Plus tires.
Do you think that CrudRoadRacer MK2 is best option or if I can trim a bit the SKS Chromoplastic would be better?
