  • Ugh. I haven't the slightest idea how to search for what I'm after, but they're these clear things you can stick over a map so you can draw your route. Does anyone know where I can find some?

  • That's just a sheet of acetate is it not? From Rymans or whatever?

  • yup, acetate, from most stationers

  • google maps?

  • ^ That's the self adhesive stuff which you actually stick to the map (or whatever) then use whiteboard markers to draw on it. If you don't want it to stick, get the non adhesive type and a couple of mini butterfly clips.

These guys do all OS maps with a waterproof write on / waterproof surface.

  • want it for a med-sized A-Z, acetate it is! thanks, guys. murts, I should have known you'd be near the top, if not first for an answer.

think we even have a rymans near work. woo!

  • google maps?

that only works if you can print, mattty.

  • keep it online and save a tree!

  • Jayloo. I may be taking this a bit too far but is it a ring bound A-Z? If so, be careful as the extra strength on the pages will rip them out of the binding pretty sharpish.

  • Garmin..........or other cheaper version

and get that "bloody woman" telling you which way to go ffs!

  • i thought good old halfords did a map carriers,,,then use a permanent marker and clean with some thing in high alcohol content?

  • you're not wrong, Wrong! : ) and I'd barely use them, just on those few times when you have to turn what seems every few feet.

  • keep it online and save a tree!

oh riiiiiiiiiiight, internet phone! I always forget I have that GPS, though it is extremely responsive!

speaking of, DAMMIT! I forgot to log "my tracks" today. again.
