  • Ha! :P

Since I let other suckers people book my 6-day trips I've never actually looked.

Anyway, that link of mine has all the sites so nyer!

  • Thanks guys ...thats perfect ....

Now to find which will be my first ever six..

  • A bunch of us are going to Ghent again this year. Nov 23rd onwards.
It's close, easy to get to on Eurostar, Ghent istself is lovely. Belgian beer rocks.

  • What actually happens in six day racing?

  • Various track events, depending on which 6-day it is. Ghent is mostly endurance events, the main one being a Madison over a number of days.

    ...

  • just ordered my Berlin tix....

  • I'm going to get tickets for the Berlin 6-day event this year as I've just moved here. It will be my first time at a 6-day event. Are Friday and Saturday the best nights? Also would anyone recommend getting standing tickets over sitting? I was wondering if it might be more fun down in the middle.

  • Friday and Saturday are usually good nights at most Six days, party crowd and lots of beer.

I think seats are better, especially if you want to watch the racing, even for a bit. Standing in the middle is fun, but you can't really see what's going on with the racing and you can get dizzy from trying to follow the action which, if you've enjoyed a beer or two, is not fun.

    Enjoy it.

  • Friday and Saturday are often great nights at the majority of Six days, upbeat crowd and plenty of beer.

I prefer seats, particularly if you want to watch the action, even for a bit. Standing in the middle is ok, but you can't really see what's happening in the racing and you can get lightheaded from trying to follow the riders which, if you've enjoyed a small glass of sherry, is not fun.
    That's what I think anyway

    Have a wonderful time

  • Thanks chaps. Seems like seated it is. I will certainly be enjoying a beer or two, and I suppose standing for 5 hours will get tiring anyway.
