.
Hi
I'm selling this small (tiny) mixte bike.
Really lovely metallic silver frame, Reynolds 531 with very nice lugs. I'm told it was built specifically for the one previous careful owner, by a London frame builder (don't know who I'm afraid) in the early 80s. Very light and nippy. In fact I've been riding it every now and then despite being about a foot too tall for it and have found it really quick and a lot of fun to ride.
Runs very well, wheels true, gears smooth.
Top tube 50cm centre to centre
Seat tube 50cm centre to centre
Cranks SR Apex
'Sachs' shifters
Front mech Shimano Titlist band on
Rear derailleur Suntour VGT Luxe
14 gears
Nice rear rack
Mud Guards Bluemels Club Special
Brooks Saddle
Weinmann Brakes
Campagnolo down tube cable guide
700c wheels. Rigida rims on Plisier(?) hubs. Quick release/ allen key.
Replaced tires with what I had to hand, which happened to be a purple halo courier and a Gator skin on the back... Not perfect aesthetically, but both are practically new.
Paint is not perfect but in very good condition with some 'storage' marks.
Could do with new bar tape and perhaps mud guards, both are fine just a bit tatty. Seat post is a bit strange, in that its so short its not really adjustable! Haven't got means to measure seat post diameter.
Like I said one previous owner who took very good care of it. Belonged to a friend of the family. He was very small in stature but big on Judo. And Communism.
I think £250 is a fair price but am open to offers, viewing welcome.
Finsbury park.
