yeah! That bike was such a landmark of Bike Polo.
I vote for it to be introduced into the Bike Polo Hall of Fame. -

^ Makes a great spoke shield design :)
On another note, anyone has a good recommendation for soft/wet compound V brake pads?

I started a thread on this because a couple of people have said it can be done.
http://www.lfgss.com/thread55425.htmlThis looks like it could do the job?

YES! Holy shit, these have completely changed polo for me. I use these and these.
Playing on the Cambridge court in the rain for more than one game and I might as well have gone home - brakes were useless. Before I was using just the standard Shimano ones and then some cheap shitmuncher ones.

I need to get some new pads too, my Tektro ones are shite beyond belief... I've used Koolstops before and they're great...

Brilliant :) Thanks!

Agreed Tekro pads are a little too hard and offer next to no grip in the wet. Always love premium/upgraded pads. Currently running DA ones on my road calipers. Much more expensive but money well spent.

SwissStop, or KoolStop, both amazing compared to anything else.

Swisstop > Koolstop in my experience. Koolstop pads tend to wear quicker, I like how swisstop pads are kind on rims, too.

they are also way more expensive.

Needed: Non-drive side Shimano BB cup, Brit thread, alum or steel please :)
In return: Beer?Mine came with the most distasteful plastic cup so if anyone has one lying around, would be most grateful :)

New bike ,an improvement on my old thing as it accommodates bigger tyres , has an inch and an eighth headtube , shorter wheel base , a good seat post clamp , is lighter and i made it myself (with a bit of help from Dave Yates ) Forks are butchered Kona P2's
and a Slack chain from Lee pulling wheelies on it -

Nothing wrong with the plastic cups. And with the polo gear you're not putting that much force into the BB
-
• #3896
Petty preference :) I know plastic is fine, but if there is a better option why not?

plastic creaks less, and won't rust in... be careful not to shred the splines when you put it in though.

The crack with just a little too much torque. Although, when that happens, I just leave it in and it works fine. Still, they're a pain in the ass.
