  • Snow, melted, now turning to ice. Grit has washed away....

  • old people beware.

The way they handle this in London is appalling - one grit if you're lucky and after that it all gets a bit Darwinian.

  • Trackie bike handling fail.

Come on Rob, you used to ride bmx ffs.. you just need to avoid the lean.. don't lean!

Seriously, you wouldn't have been riding any bike on that bit earlier today.

It looks fine now as it's wet again and not too icy.

Having had to ride in every weather condition possible over the years, it's now quite nice not to.
Working from home, Central heating, coffee, danish pastries...

  • That feeling of going right to the edge but coming back through pure man power is such a winner

    I lol'd

  • soho to wandsworth no nothing

  • Here's my ride home this afternoon.

    It was fucking brilliant.

  • I hate you. you lucky, lucky bastard.

  • ^This.^

  • This is where I took Dancing James riding over the weekend. It was only a dusting then, in comparison to today. It was about three inches on Saturday, whereas I hit drifts of a foot and a half in places today. Thank god for 29'er wheels!

    It is STILL snowing.

I'm riding the same route tomorrow at 5.00am. Should be pretty magical.

  • fantastic

  • Will there be a story about DJ's visit? I expect ear raping at a minimum.

  • In the Let's off road thread^^^^

  • Also, Lucifer please stop posting. You're breaking my heart.

  • yakutsk in siberia experiencing -55 centigrade currently
    don't lean
don't even leave the house more like

Don't lean on the house. Fuck it must be quite scary that cold. I hate to think what would happen if that was England.

  • Pussies, I was playing polo in that shit a coupla hours ago...

  • It's looking a bit borked in SE

  • Well aren't you a hard bastard?

Yep, that's me - built like a jelly shithouse :)

... but from the north (Lucifer will probably say Derbyshire ain't north), with parents who refuse to turn the rather ineffective central heating on until mid-December, and turn it off again at the start of Feb.

After a few years of that you get used to dealing with a chilly snap.

  • Derbyshire most definitely is the North!
I had to ride them thar hills to gain respect for the county, but after the gradients steadily turned me into a snot laden, puking mess I realised there are more hills in this country than the ones Yorkshire has to offer.

I love it there, and I know it can be wild!

  • Derbyshire has always been better than Yorkshire.

    #homepride

On another note, ffs, it's not that bad outside, but why the fuck am I contemplating a bus?

  • Derbyshire has always been better than Yorkshire.

    +1

Light dusting North of the river today, nothing to write home about. (Especially as mum is knee deep in the stuff).

  • -20 tonight in the Scottish mountains. Brrrrrrrrrlimey.

  • Derbyshire is no way better than Yorkshire.

You're all just being silly now.

I mean, you don't even have a seaside!

  • Another 4-6 inches in Surrey. Trains off, nothing moving aside from the odd proper Land Rover taking feed places. Where it's not fresh, it's sheet compacted ice (is that actually possible? Anyway..).

Not a day for being out on the roads. May have a spin out on the MTB over the tracks and trails later though!

  • Snowed in here in Brighton

  • Derbyshire is no way better than Yorkshire.

You're all just being silly now.

Canals. It's all about the canals.
