• so, i was reading through this thread last week going "oh yeah, cool bikes" etc.
went into my local (amazingly awesome) bike shop, and in the bike park area there was a single speed, brown kona, with disc brakes and a rigid fork. it had sliding dropouts. im guessing this was the unit?
i feel in love, i tell ya.
i dont think it was the OTP unit though, what are peoples thoughts on the units and pros/cons of building my own or buying an otp unit?
bear in mind i'm an average home-mechanic, but i have no idea about disc brakes (which i'd probably go for)
is the OTP version specced well? again, i dont know much about MTB stuff.

Dont have any first hand experiance with one. But have heard great things, and the spec sheet looks good.

Building your own will cost a lot, and is maybe a better idea if you know what you want, components and build wise.

The Unit looks cool, partly because of the contrast of the skinny steel tubes and the huge tyres. There are a few others like it around (as mentioned, the Mary).

If it was'nt a OTP it might have been the 'Big Unit' which is a racier Scandium model.
