The description says mountain bike but it's a ss/fg freestyler and there is no mention of the brooks saddle (which you would to bump the price non?) - anyone else missing a bike?

  • Throw it in the stolen bikes thread maybe. Was about to wax about not buying nicked bikes but you seem to bs on the ball :)

  • Has some scratches on the frame ... where the lock was yanked off I bet.

Also selling a Specialized hard rock. Looks like a fence to me.

  • I asked about viewing this, he said no.

  • More persistance says £200 cash and can view after 8pm in the week...

I'll persist further see If I can find a frame number

  • all his items are like a shoplifters wishlist, not just the bikes..

  • I noticed that aswell, I'll see if he'll meet with me

Anyone still wondering about this one>

Of course there a reasonable explanation for a pair of Makitas...

  • not had a reply to my offer to meet tomorow to view the bike with a view to taking it there and then for £200

  • Maybe he works for cash converters?

  • Is a cash converter more like.

  • Inaccurate description is maybe suspicious, but I know quite a few people who just buy and sell second hand stuff, not making a particularly large profit but a nice bit of pocket money nonetheless. Not dodgy at all.

If you sell stolen stuff and there is no evidence that you knew they were stolen, can you still get convicted of handling stolen goods?

Really hard to prove either way, and as a fair few thieves are also pretty good actors I think the police would be looking for previous to decide if you really are an innocent new owner of stolen stuff or a bike thief
