  • Bottom ones are Campag Omega Vs - i think the others are Omega Hardox or something (sure someone will correct me on this though) - campyoldy have them for about £75 a pair...

  • First thing I thought of:

  • MERGE, merge, MERGE!!!!

  • Sorry fairly new to this whole thing. not sure what goes where. (thats what she said)
hazzus thanks for the help! im hoping to catch that guy at the didsbury cycle jumble.

Also thats some tight photoshopping skillzzz

  • MS paint ftw!

  • Apologies for geared bits, these came off a Peugeot I'm making into my winter bike. The Pug's from 1985 but I'm assuming these are newer:

Chainset is campagnolo, you could just about read the logo before I cleaned them up. Also does anyone know how many speeds the rear derailler will take.

  • Think it's Chorus, Rear mech is chorus or record, probably 8 speed, compatible with 7 speed too.

  • Phwoar. It's a crappy frame but it had some good parts on it!

  • Rear does look like Chorus.

And Peugeot do make some decent bike, what Peugeot frame did you have?

  • I have a Racing Triple (i.e. Athena) rear mech that looks exactly like that. Again, could be the "one down every year" approach from Campy.

  • Anyone know what frame this is?

what i want to know is why hes painting it w/ the parts still on...seems a bit risky to me...

  • risky??? for the shit he is doing to the bike... no risk what so ever...

  • Anyone care to have a stab at what Ive just bought please?

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320622081528&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

it seems to be Columbus EL (OS?) and a shit paint job..........does anyone recognise the maker from the shit pictures? I'll post better ones when I get it, but does the price seem about right?

    cheers

1985 PH11 with a 103 frame. Paid 100 for it, with those parts plus a Brooks b17 plus wheels build with mavic ma2 rims on Campagnolo Record hubs. Keeping the wheels for my vintage Bianchi that I haven't bought yet, and selling the rest.

  • Hi does anyone have any ideas about this frame, make, year etc, the drop outs are campag but the rest is a mystery it's reasonably light though so could be reynolds

    cheers

    Josh

  • Looks like one of these MBK frames with decals removed (from an old sales thread):

  • Thanks for that, I'm not sure though, the colours are similar, but mine's been resprayed but not lackered and from the look of it the lugs are different too,

  • Ah, maybe someone was attempting that authentic MBK look. :)

  • I know it is a classic look, technicoloured yawn is a most appealling colour scheme, once built up hoping it might make it into the non-bike porn world of fame, can't bring myself to put a 650 on the front though.

  • oh there is a frame number on the bottom bracket which is "F375" i don't know if that helps in anyway towards identification

  • Picked this up a couple of weeks ago as a bit of a winter hack, not really sure what it is though, seller seemed to think it could be a '70s Raleigh.

Feels pretty light (really light compared to my chunky '61 Raleigh tourer), but I'm not sure how much of that is the modern 700cs vs the steel 27's on my other one.
    Pics:

looks to me like a 70s dawes.

think these are c-record era, but not c-record itself.
could be anything from chorus down to athena, someone will probably be able to tell you which groupset it is.

  • anyone know what make this frame is?

all i know is that it aint a bianchi, benotto or basso

  • Its a raleigh ace. Not a record or a road ace, just the bogo one. I have the same thing in my shed right now, though mine looks a bit bigger in the top tube (54st 57tt).
Mine rides nice but is in horrific visual conditon and I made it worse to make it less stealable. Mine had black & white chequered decals on it (factory) so I was guessing it was probably early - mid 70's 1974 was the year mentioned to me. I'm basing this on th similar front lugs and general proportions :)

    Thanks mate, that's great.

I'm surprised how nice the ride feels (ooh errr)
