Anyhow, the Mafac "Racer" have arrived, need a bit of polishing up;

Since I'm trying to build the lightest 50's bike possible (without losing reliablity), I weighted the brake (with pads and cable) and it's pretty much on par with the Paul Racer (160g without pads), and that wasn't Mafac's lightest (the "Raid" is).

Need to think about the saddle, there are old leather saddle that are lighter than the Brooks (alu rail instead of steel), just have to source it/horde JD.
Just need rims, hubs (which is coming soon, turn out it's an old freehubs thus enabling me to screw on 3 fixed cogs instead, result!), big fuck-off lamp to put on the fork, possibly mudguard, rims, saddle, tyres, handlebar, pedals and bolt for the seatpost.
