• Finished the '85 Claud Butler Canyon at the weekend. One day I will bung on the big fat tyres and use this as a street cruiser (I'm 43, not sure 'street cruising is still possible for me mind) but for now I wanted to build it as factory spec (bar the new tyres, seatpost and saddle)...

    Excellent bike, fat tyres are perfectly fine for everyday riding, rather than just for 'crusing' down your local pubs, they're superbly comfortable and roll really smoothly that it doesn't feel like an effort to keep the bike moving (especially on bad road surface).

    My bike is based on 1980's MTB geo with a few tweak (Eccentric BB, disc etc.), and it run fat tyres (Fat Frank 2.35), currenty waiting for the Alfine 11 speed hubs so I can make the most out of it, you can also get the Big Apple if you don't like the look of the FF;

    (front tyre's is only temporary so I can go off the beaten path at the time).
