  • I'm a big fan of cast iron pans, only thing I found is that as you don't wash them so thoroughly they can some times pick up flavour, when you fry fish in them for example. A trick I learned from my dad is to rub plenty of salt into the pan when your done with it, soaks up all the unwanted flavour left by what ever you last cooked in it.

    Edit: Just remembered the last time I cooked pancakes, the first one tasted slightly of fish, not nice at all. Wont forget to salt the pan again
