  • So bumping this as the redline urbis may not be making its way to me, so i'm looking to get a freestyle fixed OTP any more suggestions?

    Why?

  • I work in a bikeshop so was trying to get one off of them at trade pro-forma, but that fell through this morning so i'm looking into bikes I can get from my suppliers, will have to be OTP as I cant be arsed to build anything else this year, at the moment i'm looking at the Subrosa letum or the charge plug

  • I have a 2010 freestyler as shown above. I like it, but the forks are damned heavy. I'm considering swapping them but not sure what to go for at the moment (probably charge scissor). I don't do tricks really. The wheels are OK, but the back wheel started giving me problems (snapped spokes) until I built my own :) Front has been fine.

    Might be worth considering as they're bloody cheap at the moment.

  • i'm considering it, however i'm gunning for the subrosa letum as it seems to be lighter and more "trick specific" also i fucking love purple

    Get the BMW one instead, they're a lots lighter than the heavy Charge Scissor fork.

    Took a quick photo to show the difference;

    Can fit 40c tyres.

  • They look good :) I have no idea where to by BMW, can you point the way Ed? Thanks muchly.

  • TokyoFixed, they sell a handful of them.

    Plus the normal Charge Plug fork is another option if you use your bike for normal everyday riding (or upgrade to a carbon one).

  • Thanks Ed. don't know why I didn't think to look there :) I'd actually love a pair of Gangsta Track forks, or at least something in that bladed style.

  • Money burning a hole mate? ;-)

  • a BMX

    the completes they do nowadays are ridiculously good quality: fit, sunday, kink etc

    some companies do good 24' ones aswell nowadays

    don't tickle it with a freestyle fixie, slap it with a BMX

    you're on a fixed gear trick thread. idiot.

    if people wanted to know about bmxs, they'd ask.

  • New Mongoose Maurice at work today, ugly as sin, but the fork look like the skinny BMW Clusterfork;

    You can see the original Maurice next to it for comparison, I doubt the new fork will be as strong as the BMW one or the Charge but it does look like it won't be as heavy as the Charge one (whole bike doesn't felt it).

  • Im thinking of getting the ns analog 2011
    what do people think..
    http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=58202 picture and spec on link

  • love the colour! what would one call that colour?

  • Have a look on prolly's blog he got given on and gave it to some dude, might be a review up there...

  • NS seem pretty solid, running their district bars now, real nice.

  • love the colour! what would one call that colour?

    teal, if your talking to me

  • ns analog looks nice but a bit pricey, is there anything which can widthstand freestyle abuse around the £350-£400 mark?

  • Build it from scratch, all second hand parts if keep it cheep!

  • @ toby1234, hold out for the specialised if you want value for money, or go second hand!

    you can buy a charge plug free-styler 2010 for 350pounds here http://www.wiggle.co.uk/charge-plug-freestyler-2010/
    I would recommend as a good commuter/trick bike, hasnt got that much clearance (fits up to 700c x 38) but comes with some nice rigid forks

    gbb
