Sod climbing up that tower, i'm gasping for breath watching them, especially hooking himself to those little pegs.

I'll conceed that I haven't watched the video in question, nor will I. Sufficient detail has been posted to suggest that I don't really need to.

I'm quite against censorship as a general rule, but I think that there are times when taste and respect for the dead override the need to preserve the perpetuation of freedom of speech and expression. In this instance I think that the balance falls in favour deletion of the thread, or at least the link to the video depicting the death of a cyclist. Discussion of this incident could as easily be supported by linking to other media and/or reporting of the event.

Nah this one happened a few weeks ago. I saw this vid on a shock site a go on, woman driving an Audi A4 hits some poor bloke at over 100mph, whilst overtaking .. if it's the same one I saw, it happened in Bosnia, I think. It's quite nasty, though I hear she was arrested for it, so hopefully she's go to prison for a long time. Not gonna post it up here but PM me if you want a link.

if you search a bit on youtube you can still find it, but the guy in the vid is obviously concerned that his employers will be unimpressed by his approach to safety...and I can see why. I've done my fair share of climbing, and no rigging or tower work whatsoever. Why on earth is he not clipped on to anything? ffffuuuuuuu

Our track coach at welwyn was killed by motoring idiots in a hit and run incident in the '90s it still saddens me to think of how poor Gerry lost his life..
